Focus on : BRGM, the French geological survey

BRGM (Bureau de Recherches Géologiques et Minières) is the French geological survey.

Activities are organized around its 5 key roles: Scientific research, Support to public policy development, International cooperation, Mine Safety and Training, and main topic areas that address: geology, mineral resources, geothermal energy, geological storage of CO2, risks, post mining, water, polluted sites and soils, waste, metrology and laboratories, information systems.

BRGM’s participation to CEAMaS is related with our Environmental and Ecotechnologies development activities on sediments from waterways and harbours, such as new characterisation techniques, innovative processes, impact assessment strategies and decision support tools, developed in past and present projects.
